Haïti - School gardens

We developed gardens in three of the capital's eight municipal schools in partnership with local city officials. These gardens provide fresh fruits and vegetables to the school canteens, helping to meet children's nutritional needs, increasing attendance rates and developing sound eating habits.

Municipal school gardens bring a sense of pride, hope and belonging. Children are more prepared to care for and to protect their environment. Serving as a learning laboratory, the project proposes innovative educational approaches in municipal schools.
