Alternatives has partnered with the Institute of Simplified Hydroponics’ Mexican division that improves local food security through a series of hydroponic techniques (various forms of soilless gardens in which nutrients are absorbed from dissolved water). Many of the designs that are used in the Rooftop Garden Project have originated from some of the Institute’s designs.
