Passages

Since the beginning of April, Alternatives is working on a new garden at Passages, a shelter for young women living in the streets. Twice a week, 6 Passagères are getting involved in this future garden planification, design and maintenance. For instance, they are learning how to start seedlings and how to take good care of them ; they are discovering to what a gardening season looks like and how vegetables have their own harvest time, etc.

Workshops are also addressing food issues and discussing the food system in general. A cooking workshop is a great opportunity to talk about recipes and food habits.
